From October 2018 to April 2021 in Bavaria, Germany, a project was implemented by order of the Pottenstein municipality, which was created with federal funding support. In this project, LEC carried out the construction of a 120 km long route and cable laying to ensure the availability of broadband internet in the region. At the same time, fiber optic installation was also carried out. The project also included the installation of house connections. After cable laying, street and sidewalk surfaces were also restored using asphalt and paving. The biggest challenge in the project was related to the peculiarities of the soil class – i.e., most of the routes were built in very rocky or cliff terrain.
