An important digital infrastructure improvement project has been implemented in the region, involving the installation of fiber-optic cable over a distance of 225 kilometres. In addition, 2,656 households have been connected, providing high-quality fiber-optic network connectivity. Fiber-optic technology enables much faster data transmission than traditional copper cables, as information is transmitted through glass or plastic fibers using light pulses. This network upgrade will significantly improve the quality and speed of internet connections.
