To strengthen the reliability of Ventspils’ power supply, LEC undertook multiple phases of work at the 330 kV Ventspils substation. The substation was built from 2012 to 2014, and its 110 kV component was reconstructed from 2016 to 2017. LEC provided design development and approval, full construction services, partial supply of electrical equipment, equipment assembly, and commissioning. The client praised the execution, noting that the work was completed on time and to high standards, with LEC recognized as a competent and responsible contractor capable of solving unforeseen issues. The project Substation No.160 Ventspils 330 kV Distribution Construction was awarded 1st place in the New Construction Objects over €1 million category by the Latvian Electrical Engineers and Energy Builders Association in 2014.
