Today, we are pleased to welcome Mārtiņš Miķelsons to our team as the new Director of the Energy Construction Department. In his new role, Mārtiņš will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating the work of the Energy Construction Department and its structural units, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and the continued development of the department.
Mārtiņš began his professional career in the construction industry in 2005 at SIA “VIA”. While still a student, he started out as a road construction worker and later worked as an assistant to a foreman and a site manager. Gradually building his experience and expertise, Mārtiņš progressed to become the company’s Director.
This career path gave Mārtiņš the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the road construction industry from the ground up through to senior management level, providing him with extensive practical knowledge of construction processes, teamwork and project management.
Over the years, Mārtiņš has been involved in numerous major road construction projects in Latvia, including the construction of the Saulkrasti Bypass and the Southern Bridge, as well as the construction and reconstruction of various national and local roads.
“It is difficult to single out one particular project, as I have experienced and accomplished a great deal throughout my career,” says Mārtiņš, reflecting on his professional experience to date.
With extensive experience in the construction industry, strong practical expertise and proven management experience, Mārtiņš joins LEC for a new professional challenge — to lead the Energy Construction Department and, together with the team, drive its continued growth and development.
