Hydropower plants, battery energy storage systems (bess), and power generation facilities

LEC, in cooperation with a partner, is constructing a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a total capacity of 8.4 MW / 16.8 MWh at the TEC-1 site in Riga.

In partnership, LEC is constructing BESS parks in Rēzekne and Tume with a combined capacity of 80 MW / 160 MWh (Rēzekne – 60 MW / 120 MWh; Tume – 20 MW / 40 MWh).

LEC developed the construction design for the replacement of primary equipment at Riga HPP.

The project involved the reconstruction of six hydro units at Riga HPP, including the replacement of turbines and stators, refurbishment of control systems, renewal of runner chambers and turbine covers, as well as thrust bearing and segment replacement.
