LEC developed the construction design for the replacement of primary equipment at Riga HPP. The project included renovation of the transformer yard’s waterproofing and concrete covering, installation of safety barriers, replacement of 330 kV transformers, and reconstruction of cooling systems. A new 13.8 kV insulated busbar system was installed, as well as new circuit breakers and auxiliary transformers. The relay protection system was upgraded, and the SCADA system renewed and integrated.
