LEC reconstructed the 110 kV Viskaļi substation to enhance power supply safety and reliability in Jelgava and the wider Zemgale region. The work, divided into five stages, included dismantling old equipment and installing new 110 kV distribution systems. Works included the construction of reinforced concrete foundations, metal structure assembly, grounding contour creation, cable duct construction, control cable laying and connection, as well as the installation of relay protection and automation systems. The existing control building was renovated, new 110 kV cable lines were laid, and cable terminations were completed. This project marked the first time LEC installed 110 kV disconnectors manufactured by HAPAM.
