LEC successfully constructed the 440/110 kV Isokankaan substation, designed to stabilize the electrical grid in Northern Finland. LEC carried out installation of high-voltage equipment, assembled primary connections, installed relay protection and automation systems, and constructed control cable and power networks. The team also installed lighting systems for the outdoor switchgear and performed all electrical works within the control building. This project gave LEC its first hands-on experience with 400 kV equipment and pantograph disconnector installation—technologies not yet used in Latvia. The client positively evaluated the high-quality assembly works.
